Video: rotor blade monitoring for a better yield

Phoenix Contact supports green energy companies in their orientation towards an increasingly volatile supply. That happens on the one hand, with regard to the wind energy sector: Here we offer the solutions presented for optimum operation of the systems, from control technology to lightning and surge protection to monitoring systems. In order to be able to provide holistic support for an All Electric Society, the Energy division at Phoenix Contact has repositioned itself and no longer operates as Wind/Solar and Energy Distribution, but now forms a holistic presence in order to be able to offer green energy companies solutions from solar systems to wind to storage technologies and energy distribution systems, all from a single source.
Outlook: Where is the journey heading?
Holistic WT monitoring based on Phoenix Contact technology will be constantly expanded. The more information is known about the turbine, the better service and maintenance can be coordinated and smooth operation ensured. Furthermore, the analysis of the data will be further expanded. How do I recognise "black sheep" in a wind farm? If a turbine is running well on its own, but the values continue to deviate from the measured data of the other turbines, it is very likely that the turbine needs to be looked at again.

In this video we also learn more about rotor blade moitoring and detection. (nw)
